This video displays the daily streams on Spotify for all Drake and Future projects between 2015-2016. Annotations appear at most bumps or dips, with brief explanations of likely causes.

You’ll notice most of the visual turbulence does not affect the overall trajectory of albums’ streams. Thus, by only observing this level of detail, it would be possible to lose sight of the “forest for the trees”. (In contrast, my textual analysis takes a top-down approach).

My goal here was to offer insight into how Drake and Future listeners reacted to different career development and release-related events. I created the original visual in Tableau, but had loading issues due to its size. So a video it became.
