Metrorail Survey Data
Metrorail Survey Data - Income
Data was collected from the 2012 Metrorail Ridership Survey. Since data is collected by entry stations and assuming riders are likely returning to the same stations after work, I used AM Peak rider incomes.
This data is more accurate than relying on incomes from all households within proximity of stations (but disregarding whether household members are Metro riders). For example, the survey data used in this report accounts for stations with large parking facilities that draw commuters from afar; these commuters may have different incomes compared to the households in proximity to the station.
Data is not present for five exclusively Silver Line Stations; the stations did not exist in 2012.
